What You Need

Ingredients

500 g boneless chicken, cut into medium-sized pieces
1/2 cup thick yogurt
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp kasuri methi
1 tbsp gram flour
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp salt
1 medium onion, cut into petals
1 medium capsicum, cut into pieces

Let's Cook

Instructions

1. Pat the chicken pieces dry and place them in a large bowl.

2. Add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, Kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, kasuri methi, gram flour, oil and salt.

3. Mix thoroughly until every chicken piece is evenly coated.

4. Add onion and capsicum and gently mix with the marinated chicken.

5. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavour, refrigerate for 2–4 hours.

6. Preheat the Domestica Air Fryer Oven to 200°C for 2–3 minutes.

7. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer on the air-fryer tray or basket. Leave space between the pieces for proper hot-air circulation.

8. Cook at 200°C for 12–15 minutes.

9. Turn the chicken pieces halfway through cooking for even browning.

10. Cook until the chicken is completely cooked through and has a lightly charred, golden exterior.

11. Serve hot with onion rings, lemon wedges and mint chutney.

Cooking Tips

Preheat the Domestica Air Fryer Oven for 2–3 minutes before cooking for better browning and crisping.

Do not overcrowd the cooking tray. Leave space between the chicken pieces so hot air can circulate properly.

For extra charred edges, lightly brush the chicken with oil during the last few minutes of cooking.

Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the chicken pieces. Always check that the chicken is fully cooked before serving.
